Our Story

Texas Rose Ranch is a family-run ranch located in Alvin, Texas, owned and operated by Paula Gordin, alongside her husband JW and daughter Av. The ranch is dedicated to raising quality Miniature Nubian dairy goats and Miniature Zebu cattle, with a strong focus on producing healthy, friendly, and structurally sound animals.

Paula’s journey in livestock began in high school, where she started showing goats and cattle. What began as a youth project grew into a lifelong passion for animal husbandry, genetics, and responsible breeding. That passion continues today through Texas Rose Ranch and is shared with her family.

Texas Rose Ranch is truly a family effort. JW plays a hands-on role in the daily operations and behind-the-scenes work that keeps the ranch running smoothly. Av is already actively involved in the barn and the show ring, and the family takes pride in encouraging youth participation and a love for agriculture from a young age.

At Texas Rose Ranch, quality is prioritized over quantity. Animals are raised with daily hands-on care, careful attention to nutrition, and thoughtful breeding decisions aimed at improving each generation. Temperament, structure, and overall health are key priorities in every animal raised on the ranch.

Showing livestock is an important part of the program and allows for evaluation against industry standards while continuing to learn from fellow breeders and judges. Texas Rose Ranch is proud to be involved in the show ring and values the relationships built within the livestock community.
